IPL 2023

Cricket fans now have the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 auction updates to look forward to after a month-long cricketing extravaganza known as the T20 World Cup 2022 came to an end. The BCCI’s deadline to all franchises for providing the final list of retained and released players is rapidly approaching.

Before November 15, 5 PM IST, the 10 IPL franchises must submit to BCCI their list of retained and discharged players. Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the two most successful IPL teams, have already supplied their list, but the other eight franchises are also finalising their strategies ahead of the IPL 2023 auction, which will take place in Kochi on December 23.

There have already been a lot of changes made by teams. For example, Gujarat Titans transferred Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Lockie Ferguson to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), and Mumbai Indians traded Jason Behrendroff from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) (GT).
Shardul Thakur, a prominent Indian player who joined KKR from Delhi Capitals, was the most notable player to be traded. Here are the most recent news items and rumours before IPL retention day on November 15 as the deadline day draws near.
